EDUCATION & SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, and habits. Pakistan is among one of those countries that still has low literacy rate and Pakistan also has the second largest out of school population (22.8 million children). Only about 67.5% of Pakistani children finish primary school education. Very little (only about 12%) of the total national allocation to education goes to higher education with about 88% being spent on lower level education. Lower education institutions such as primary schools suffer under such conditions as the lower income classes are unable to enjoy subsidies and quality education.

Keeping in view the Sustainable Development Goal-4 Quality Education and complementing
Article 25A of constitution of Pakistan i-e: Right to education: The State shall provide free and
compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years in such manner as may
be determined by law, PakAID is facilitating 1300 children with free education in five schools in Southern Punjab as follows:


1. Model High Girls School, (Model Village) Ehsan Pur, Kot Addu
2. Model High Boys School, (Model Village) Ehsan Pur, Kot Addu
3. Model Primary School, Mehmood kot, Kot Addu
4. Model Primary School, Gadi Walla, DG Khan
5. Model Elementary School SBR Campus Deenpur, Kot Addu
